I couldn't bring myself to listen to upper-class music, and that's when I listened to MIZ.
It has been a difficult year for me to meet a large number of people, so I think I may have grown closer to some of my closest friends. What changes did you see in your life in 2020?
A VIRGIN:I had a lot of gigs last year. The club was open, so I was playing about twice a week at most.
Okutomi:It's solo, and it might have been easier to do.
A VIRGIN:Compared to the previous years, this was probably the most active year for me (laughs).
Kato:As I said, I stopped seeing people because I couldn't perform live.
Okutomi:That's right. We used to drink together quite a bit, but it was probably because of the live concerts. When I think about it, it is sad that we can't do live concerts or events.
Kato:Yes, that's right. I didn't force myself to meet with anyone. I have always been the type of person who likes to take my time, so I guess my lifestyle didn't change much.
Okutomi:I have a guitar, too.
MIZ's first album, Ninh Binh Brother's Homestay, was released in April 2020.
Kato:I spend a lot more time playing the acoustic guitar. I also compose music for "MIZ," so I release some of the songs I've written.
Okutomi:Indeed, I have the impression that the activities of "MIZ" were more prominent. They even had a live concert at the end of the year.
Kato:As for "MIZ," it may have been a year in which we were able to concentrate rather on our activities.
Okutomi:It took me quite a while to get excited about listening to intense music. It took me quite a while to get excited enough to want to listen to intense music. I started going to live shows again in the fall, and I finally started listening to upper-range songs.
