Boho Nomade is also sold at BEAMS, but how do you approach selling it in stores?
Iizuka:Boho Nomade's rope sandals are a staple of the brand, and they have been well received for their gentle feel on bare feet, with a construction that allows the wearer to directly feel the quality of the material. You also offer a wide variety of colors, don't you? Rather than being picked up as a trend item, we offer them as a basic item that can be worn in different ways depending on the occasion or outfit.
Iizuka-san often attracts attention for the way you dress. Do you have any recommendations for how to dress?
Iizuka:This outfit is exactly the styling we recommend, but we have combined the shades with a spring-like transparent white shirt, matching the gray of the sandals, and faded black denim for the bottoms. . The key is to blend in with the monotone while still giving a strong sense of the season.

Do you have any rules when choosing sandals from a buyer's point of view?
Iizuka:I am not limited to sandals, but if I had to say so, I would say that I have always given priority to items that can be worn for a long time and not be worn by others, because I have an innocent personality. Also, recently, wearing sandals not only with bare feet but also with socks has become a popular style, so I look for sandals that can be styled in such a versatile way.
What do you think is the resonance between "BEAMS" and "Boho Nomad"?
Iizuka:In the fashion industry, sustainable initiatives are one of the most important topics in the future, and I could sympathize with the attitude of the brands that were among the first to take such initiatives. My workplace, BEAMS, also has a project to upcycle products that can no longer be offered due to aging, as part of its sustainable initiatives. I have the impression that this brand can be a catalyst for such a project.
