How did you like it in 2022 ,?
. So, please look back on the last year and tell us about your best buys for 2022. Let's start with you, Mr. Nishino.
Westfield:We opened "Nito House" in Nagoya, but it didn't open until the beginning of this year, and there were no major events as a company last year, except for the office relocation... . . there were some comings and goings, with two people quitting in December. One of them quit on the last day of work, December 27, and he called me and said, "I'm a resignation agent. That was the first time that had ever happened, you know. Do you know what that is? Resignation agency.

. I've only heard stories.
Westfield:The day before, he came normally, but on December 27 he didn't show up, and the resignation agency called me and said, "I called on behalf of Mr. Whatsapp. Furthermore, I don't know what the legal restrictions are, but once you go through the resignation agency, you are not allowed to have any more contact with the person in question. . But it was difficult because I couldn't contact the person in question about business matters, resignation, and so on.
Were there any signs that you were about to quit?
Westfield: No, not at all. I was barely involved, and another staff member was educating him. . From the outside, I was very gentle with them. For example, "I'm going to Subway, can I get you something? . But a few days before I quit, we were all going out for lunch. But a few days before I quit, when we all decided to go out for lunch, she was the only one who was adamant that she would not go because she had to work. I thought, "This is probably the end of my career.
Indeed.
Westfield:Another staff member also said that he might have felt distant from us because we had taken care not to invite him. He said he wanted us to get to know them better, but only he knows for sure.
. It is difficult to close the distance or let go, isn't it?
Westfield: Isn't it really hard to be a person?
Nakayama:It's true that when Daishi and I have a drink these days, all we do is talk about other people.

Mr. Nishino's best buy: "Montbell" international model down jacket
. a Japanese manufacturer's reimported model from overseas, a Lexus if you will. . I was surprised that it has 1000 fill power in such a thin material, and the price is reasonable at around 40,000 yen. Even the strongest down in the U.S. is about 900, and in general, I think most 1,000-fill-power down is very flat, but it is thin and packable. Perhaps because it is an overseas model, the shape is large, and the colors are different in tone from domestic models. I think it's great that they are warm and lightweight.
Now, let's ask Mr. Nakayama to look back on the year 2022.
Nakayama:I had shingles at the end of the year , and I felt my age. I decided it was time to do something right for my health. It was the first time since I started working that I got very sick. Anyway, that was a great shock.

Do you know what causes shingles?
Nakayama:No, he said, it must be stress. I didn't really feel it myself (laughs), but I know a lot of people get sick before the age of 40. . It was also difficult for me to release stress. It was a time when I had to hold back on communication, both public and private, but I remember that in the latter half of last year, I was happy that I was able to release it little by little.
Do you have any special memories from your private practice?
Nakayama:There was nothing. . but I was glad that nothing happened.

Nakayama's best buy: Clarks' Weaver boots.
Weaver is a classic boot type with a little height, but we have released it as an exclusive for Urban Research Doors in Japan. They are available in two colors, black and maple.
So, Mr. Miyamoto, what is your vision for the year 2022?
Miyamoto:In the latter half of last year, I got sick myself, which led me to change my diet and start fasting, and I lost about 8 kg.
Westfield:. and it was only last year that I quit drinking.
Miyamoto:. I don't want to quit, or my body doesn't want to quit, but I don't know. I'm just in that zone right now.

Westfield:In the old days, Mr. Miyamoto, if you met him on a Saturday or Sunday morning, he usually bought you a beer.
Miyamoto:. bought. The biggest change in the last year was the birth of my child , and a lot of habits changed from there. . we moved our showroom on December 27th.
Westfield:When we got the call from the resignation agency, Mr. Miyamoto had moved away (laughs).
Miyamoto:(Laughs) . I moved to Harajuku; it was where I worked when I came to Tokyo 16 years ago, so I guess I came back . . Location is a matter of fate, and you can't control it by yourself. I was deeply moved by the fact that I was able to come here again due to timing and other factors. I want to make this year a year to do many interesting things in this city of fashion.

Ms. Miyamoto's best buy: Ray's aroma diffuser.
People tend to think that it is powered by batteries or a power source, but it creates airflow with just the heat from the candle and the propeller spins to release the aroma. When I use it in a meeting, even if I don't have music playing, the propeller turns the air and makes it work. Also, while many products only scent the surrounding area, this one gently spreads the aroma throughout the entire space. This is the first product of an inventor, Mr. Yasuyuki Nagato, who has made many inventions for other people around the world, and who now wants to make 100 of his own inventions. The poet Toshi Sugawara also participated in the planning and development of the product, and there is a beautifully named aroma called "Swimming in the Forest" that is linked to a book of poems, which I like so much that I use it every day.
