-The shoes you are wearing are the newest addition to the "ORIGINALS" series, which uses suede as the upper material.
Takahashi: The impression is totally different when it comes to suede. It is more elegant, and because it is suede, the black is deeper. I think it is the perfect material for the coming season. Even if it ages and changes color or gets a little dirty, it still looks cool.
-What are the key points of styling?
Takahashi: I wondered whether I should match the pants with a boot cut, but I decided to go with sweat pants. They have pull straps on the front and back of the opening. I hooked the hems to them.
-The distinctive details of the pull straps and side gores are emphasized and accentuated.
Takahashi: The silhouette of the hem of the pants was also a key point.
-Are the sweatpants set-up with a parka?
Takahashi: Yes, it is. It is overdyed and has a nice fade. Everything I wear is vintage clothing. I've paired it with an outdoor brand vest and twill outerwear to give it a work style.
-The suede on the feet looks great against the overall aging.
Takahashi: The black of the feet and hat pulled it together.

-This outfit is also all vintage.
Takahashi: The sweatshirts are American-made souvenirs, and the pants are U.S. Army parachute pants. The coat is probably handmade, and the quality is so high that I wonder how much it would cost to make it in this day and age. Recently, I have been buying only such old clothes.
-This styling also highlights the suede material.
Takahashi: Because they are classy, I feel that street dressing is calming. Side gore boots have an English image, don't they? So, the choice of items should be made with the skins in mind. I tried to combine British style with American items, like the Bristol Sound, which is a fusion of British pop music and black music.
-When did you first learn about BrandStone?
Takahashi: More than 25 years ago. I wore brown when I worked at Beams.
-What was your initial impression?
Takahashi: It was the first time I saw a form different from engineer boots or Roper boots. I tried many things, such as wearing them with ankle-length pants, or with overalls or painted pants like work boots, based on how my seniors wore them.
-Have you been wearing side gore boots until then?
Takahashi: They were my first side-gore boots. I had always had an image of side gore boots as beautiful, and I thought they were not suitable for me. But "Brand Stone" had an elegant yet tough look, so it was easy for me to pick them up.
