-They chose a low-cut model that inherits the features of the classic "ORIGINALS" model.
Yoshioka: I liked the high-cut standard model, but decided on a low-cut model that is easy to take off and put on. I like items that do not interfere with my lifestyle. Especially shoes, the lighter the better.
-How do you feel about these shoes?
Yoshioka: I was surprised at how lightweight and easy to wear they are, contrary to their appearance. I was instantly captivated by them. I usually wear a jacket with a tight fit, and I think they fit in well with that style.
-This styling is quite casual compared to the usual jacket style.
Yoshioka: I prefer the orthodox way of wearing suits and jackets that I learned when I joined "United Arrows," but recently I have been trying to select items more sensibly. For this coordination, I focused on coloring.
-The coloring of the shoes is brown, how did you come up with the styling?
Yoshioka: The unique color of brown, which is almost black, is perfect for my current mood, and I thought khaki and beige earth colors would match with it.
-The details of both the tops and pants are unique.
Yoshioka: The brand is called "Ii (EE). I look for and buy from independent Asian brands. I thought this kind of coordination would be a good way to enhance the basic, traditional shoes.
-The main color here is also olive, which goes well with the brown of the shoes.
Yoshioka: The pants are U.S. Army cargo pants, and the knit MA-1 from "MEIAS" is a pop military look. This styling was created to match these pants and shoes.
-The silhouette of the pants is well balanced with the shoes.
Yoshioka: I tied the hem. With a high cut, it would stretch out at the ankle, but I thought the low cut would give it a lighter look. It was fun to think about how to coordinate them.
-The checkered cardigan also links with the shoes, bringing the whole look together.
Yoshioka: This is a brand called "FORTUNE W.W.D." from the Philippines. The brown and yellow checks are decorated with pink stitching. I really like the sense of coloring. I think this is also an element that makes the military look lighter.
-Do you wear side gore boots often?
Yoshioka: I was actually looking for a pair of side gore boots to wear. I was invited to participate in this project at that time, and when I tried them on, they were great.
-Is this your first time wearing "Brand Stone" then?
Yoshioka: That's right. That's why I read the article by in Huinum, which used to interview Mr. Kurino (Senior Advisor, Creative Direction, UNITED ARROWS). As Mr. Kurino said, you can wear them on rainy days and go camping and other outdoor activities. I haven't encountered such versatile shoes in a long time.
