What is Salomon's proposal for "gravel running"?
Huynh Nam Running Club ♡ reports on his experience!

Gravel running is a new running style proposed by Salomon. What is the difference between this style of running, which runs seamlessly across all kinds of fields from uneven terrain in parks and riverbeds to well-developed asphalt, and ordinary running? To find out the truth, the ♡Huinamu Running Club held a group run on the theme of "gravel running. Based in "Touken," the group experienced the possibilities of this style of running while touring the sights and sounds of downtown East Tokyo.

Surprisingly, there are many off-roads! Heading north along the Sumida River toward Tokyo Skytree.

After some preparatory exercises, the group run started immediately!

Starting from "Token," the group walked through Hamacho Park to the promenade along the Sumida River.

The day was cloudy and the temperature was mild. It was a perfect day for running. I ran comfortably while checking the comfort of the "Aero Glide 3 Gravel.

Leave the promenade along the Sumida River and cross the Ryogoku Bridge in the direction of Ryogoku Kokugikan.

On this day, the May Grand Sumo Tournament is underway. Since we were there, why don't we pass by the Kokugikan? So, I headed that way and found .......

Sure enough, there was a tremendous crowd around the Kokugikan. I stopped running for a while and went into walking mode.

Passing by sumo wrestlers strutting gallantly, we head onward.

Continue north on the road in front of the Kokugikan, and then go back to the promenade along the Sumida River.

The course is now on the opposite bank, this time on the left bank. The course is north. We are now heading in the direction of Tokyo Skytree.

While driving along the promenade along the Sumida River in an unobtrusive manner, we suddenly came upon an off-road.

It is a bit surprising to find off-roads in such a place. The varied road surface is another feature of the promenade along the Sumida River.

Passing by the Asahi Breweries headquarters building, famous for its golden objet d'art designed by Philippe Starck, the Tokyo Skytree looms ever closer.

So we arrived at Sumida Park at the foot of the Tokyo Sky Tree. It is about 4 km from Totoken to here. We take a short break to rehydrate at a water fountain and go to the restroom. The ability to run while taking breaks here and there is one of the charms of group runs in urban areas.
