September is almost here. While there are still many times when we wear only a T-shirt as a top, it is time to change the bottom from shorts to shorts.
I was thinking about what kind of bottom I would like to wear at such a time, and I thought thick-ribbed corduroy pants would be good.
If you try to buy thick-ribbed corduroy pants secondhand, you will probably find that most of them are two-tucked, but these pants have a standard look without any tucks.
It's one thing to have the wildness in full bloom, but don't you feel a little more sophisticated thanks to the lack of tucks? Woody Allen's chinos were tucked in, but I'm sure his corduroys were not. Maybe. Moreover, the inseam is short for the size of the waist, which I personally feel now.
The brand is "Orvis," a long-established brand of fishing and outdoor gear founded in 1856, and it was made in the U.S. in the 1980s, with Talon zippers. The fact that it is a dead stock is also intriguing. There are some corduroy pants with bald ridges, you know. You can enjoy wearing them until your knees come out by yourself.
It can be worn with a T-shirt in or tightened with a belt. It also goes well with knitwear when the weather gets chilly. Personally, I would wear it with a gray T-shirt.
Chinos and denim are fine, but let's get a little ahead of fall with fall/winter-inspired materials.
