For nearly half a century, STONE ISLAND has been a brand dedicated to exploring the potential of materials. While the clothes they create prioritize practicality, the fabrics they choose are all unique in the best possible way.
A piece that truly embodies the brand’s identity has now arrived.
This is the "METAL LAMINA RIPSTOP HEAT REACTIVE" jacket, made from a material that changes color in response to temperature.
The outer fabric is made of nylon micro-ripstop coated with thermochromic resin pigments. I’m intrigued by the fact that the color becomes brighter as the temperature rises and shifts to a deeper tone as it drops.
The lining is laminated with an eye-catching silver-colored aluminum film. This is said to give the nylon micro-ripstop fabric just the right amount of stiffness and enhance its thermal insulation.

Another distinctive feature is its vintage mountain parka-style look, complete with a large front pocket. Of course, the left sleeve features the Compass badge. However, instead of the usual color, it’s embroidered in white to symbolize the development of special materials and finishing techniques.
When it comes to *Stone Island*, the campaign visuals are always a highlight, and this time they’ve enlisted reggaeton artist Feid.
