For early fall, go for a rich, deep Boston. BEAMS and Birkenstock—both of which are celebrating their 50th anniversaries—are launching a special collaboration.

Keeping something going for half a century is no small feat. In the fashion industry in particular, only a handful of people are able to continue expressing their originality while keeping pace with the changing times.

We’re excited to announce a collaboration between the two artists who achieved such a remarkable feat.

BEAMS and BIRKENSTOCK, which have collaborated numerous times in the past, are releasing a special model this year—a year marked by both brands’ 50th anniversaries.

The model is the "Boston," an iconic Birkenstock design. This year marks the 50th anniversary of its debut. A unique feature of this collaboration is the "crazy pattern" patchwork design, which asymmetrically combines three colors of suede leather.

Featuring three classic Birkenstock colors—taupe, mink, and mocha—each is rendered in leather with its own distinct character. By combining carefully selected leathers into a patchwork design using advanced craftsmanship, we’ve fused an artisanal aesthetic with the playful spirit characteristic of “BEAMS.”

The insoles are also special. In addition to the Birkenstock logo, they feature the “BEAMS” logo embossed on them. Furthermore, they’re scheduled to be sold in a special orange box, ensuring that the brand’s aesthetic is reflected in every detail.

By the way, the sizes range widely from 35 to 46. Sizes 35 through 38 are available under the “BEAMS Boy” label.

Now that the summer heat has subsided and autumn is in the air, I’m in the mood for a Boston with its rich, deep character.
