When people think of "New Balance," they think of gray, and when they think of gray sneakers, they think of "New Balance. It is used in the "990" series, "1000" series, and other flagship models that are considered masterpieces, and is now recognized by fans around the world as the signature color of the brand.

. The first model to adopt the gray color that would later become the brand's signature color.
Although the image of gray is now well established in New Balance, the brand's first gray shoes were introduced in 1980, more than 70 years after the company was founded. It was the "620," a running shoe for road runners.
While sports shoes of the time often used pop primary colors, the gray-toned "620" was an unusual one. However, the "620" was developed as the lightest model on the market at that time, and it was a pair with a special meaning and challenge for the brand. Since then, whenever New Balance has taken on a daring challenge, it has incorporated the color gray as proof of its outstanding craftsmanship and technology.
At the exhibition, the lineup includes the "620," the "990" series, the "1000" series, previous generations of the "M1300" that have been reissued multiple times, and the archives of Gray shoes up to the present day. In addition, panels describing the history of the brand and Gray shoes are on display.
