New Balance was founded in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1906. The "1906," named after the year of its founding, was introduced in 2009 and gained popularity as a high-performance running shoe equipped with the latest technology of the time.
Last year, the new "1906R" debuted as a reworking of the "1906," with the same high-spec sole as the "2002R" reissued in 2020, but with a modern updated finish. This time, a new color will join such "1906R".

The "1906R" has a futuristic feel unique to the 2000s. The combination of suede and mesh upper with a deep green coloring matches the current trend. The silver and gray accents that are typical of "New Balance" are also used here and there.
In addition, the sole, which combines two types of cushioning called "ABZORB" and "N-ergy," and the heel support further accelerate the futuristic feel. Needless to say, the model is based on a running shoe, so it is also extremely comfortable.
The product will go on sale on Saturday, February 18. They will be available at all New Balance directly-managed stores and all Billy's stores.
