In 2017, NIKE launched its first thick-soled "Vaporfly 4%," which revolutionized the running market. Although other companies have followed suit since then, Nike still boasts an absolute presence and support as the king of the scene.
The latest addition to the lineup is the Nike Vaporfly 3.
The combination of the full-length carbon fiber Flyplate and Zoom X midsole is the same as in the previous model, but the shape of the midsole has been changed. By eliminating waste and adding a forefoot bulge, energy return is improved while promoting smooth weight transfer and providing a comfortable and stable fit.
In addition, by reducing the thickness of the outsole, drilling holes in the forefoot, and making other improvements throughout, the overall weight of the shoe has been reduced by approximately 4%.
The coloring of the prototypes, the number of Flyknit upper prototypes tested by the team, and the identification number of the person in charge of the wear test are all stylish touches that only Nike can provide.
Nike Vaporfly 3 Proto ¥29,700
By eliminating waste with an emphasis on light weight and improving stability and energy return, Nike's thick soles have evolved into all-around racing shoes with a greater degree of maturity than ever before. Now is the time to pick one up.
For your information, the release will be limited to NIKE members from mid-March, and will be available on the NIKE app, NIKE.COM, and NIKE directly-managed stores. Other colors will be released sequentially in the future.
