This 10th generation of the series has been fully updated from toe to heel. The most significant point is the increased thickness of the sole.
The stack height, which indicates the thickness of the sole, is 42 mm for the men's model and 34 mm for the women's model. This is close to the thickness of the Bondi 9 (heel 43mm/forefoot 38mm), the latest in Hoka's Max Cushion models. The drop, which indicates the difference in height between the front and back, is 8mm, 3mm higher than the previous model, providing runners with stronger propulsive force.
The upper is made of Jacquard mesh for a comfortable, wrap-around fit. The design has been redesigned to improve fit by adding volume to key areas of the foot.
The outsole, like its predecessor, employs Durabrasion Rubber that provides excellent traction performance. By reviewing the pattern and placing it in areas of heavy wear, we have increased durability.
Top athletes also give their stamp of approval for the comfort of the shoes.
At the media launch event held prior to the launch, HOKA athletes Tetsuya Arumsaka, Yuichi Miura, and Yuka Masubuchi of the Dai-ichi Life Group Women's Track & Field Team took the stage to talk about the appeal of the Clifton 10. The interviewer was HOKA ambassador Ryuji Kashiwabara.

Armorsaka commented, "The fit is much better as well as the cushioning has been improved. In particular, the fit in the heel and forefoot has been improved, and it is more stable," commented Armorsaka.
Masubuchi commented, "I felt that the cushioning was even better and the shoes were less tiring. The increased propulsive force makes it easier to run faster, and I am happy to be able to run long distances in comfort," he said.
Miura, who mainly competes on trails, pointed out the versatility of the shoes, saying, "I use them for road training, but by using them with trail shoes, I can broaden my training. Also, the shoes can be used for everyday wear, which is another attraction of these shoes," he said, pointing out their high versatility.
