Culture is a mixture of various elements that grows and develops. New Balance, whose identity is "the intersection of sports and culture," proposes a fusion of run and art. Under the theme of "running wearing art," a collection of running wear incorporating works by the design and art unit "GOO CHOKI PAR" has been released. Here is a report on the launch event and an interview with GOO CHOKI PAR, who also held a solo exhibition to unveil new works drawn exclusively for New Balance.

Running wear that can be enjoyed from multiple angles.

Running is a growing culture. The daily use of shoes and running clothes is becoming more and more popular, and unique communities are active all over the country. People enjoy fashion in sports, and enjoy sportswear as fashion. And, in the midst of enjoying fashion, one can also feel sports. Amplify New Balance has released this collection of running apparel as part of its "Amplify of Sport" concept.

The artwork "Running Shapes" by "GOO CHOKI PAR" used in this collection was exhibited at "New Balance Crafts & Design Gallery," an art exhibition expressing craftsmanship held at "New Balance Harajuku" in February this year. Craftsmanship has always been an important part of the New Balance brand's raison d'être. As we look toward 2026, the 120th anniversary of the brand's birth, we have decided to reevaluate the craftsmanship and communicate it to a wider audience through the work of "GOO CHOKI PAR. The artwork is incorporated into T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, caps, and other items that can be worn as everyday fashion while still providing the functionality of running wear. The collection is a mix of running, fashion, and art, and is truly an "Amplify of Sport," a collection that mixes running, fashion, and art.
