A crash course in the fashionable people found at the Mount Fuji 100!

We often hear that "there are many fashionable people in the trail running community," but is that true? We visited the Mt. Fuji 100, one of the largest trail running races in Japan, and took snapshots of the fashionable people who are interested in the race, not only the competitors but also the people involved with the brands exhibiting at the expo and the volunteer staff supporting the athletes.

--What is your involvement in the Mt. Fuji 100?

I'm in charge of the official YouTube live feed. I follow the top athletes as they compete. I'm also in charge of MCing the EXPO talk show."

Have you ever competed as a -- player?

'I've only been out once, in 2019. That was the year the race was cancelled due to snow during the race, and I've been involved in the business ever since."

--What are your impressions of the Mt. Fuji 100 from the various races you have participated in so far?

This is Japan's leading 100-mile race. It has an international flavor, stable management, and generous support. I think it is a symbolic race that is easy to challenge and set goals for."

--Are you going to compete as a player in the future?

I have always wanted to participate, but it's complicated because I have been offered a job (laughs). (Laughs) "I hope to be involved in this way as long as I can, and hope to be able to run again someday.
