--How did you get involved in the Mt. Fuji 100 this time?
He said, "I'm competing in the 100-mile race as an athlete. This time I will be off the booth and concentrate on running."
--What is your 100 mile experience so far?
I have completed the Shinetsu Gogaku and the KOUMI 100, and this is my fourth run. I feel that I have been able to cope with the distance little by little as I have run the race more times.
--what is your goal for this time around?
I want to finish in about 31 hours. I haven't been able to adjust very well this time, so I'm hoping I can run without exerting too much effort.
--What are your impressions of this tournament?
It has a festival-like atmosphere. There are many foreign competitors, so I feel like I am participating in an international race even though I am in Japan. In that sense, I think it is a very special event.
