A crash course in the fashionable people found at the Mount Fuji 100!

We often hear that "there are many fashionable people in the trail running community," but is that true? We visited the Mt. Fuji 100, one of the largest trail running races in Japan, and took snapshots of the fashionable people who are interested in the race, not only the competitors but also the people involved with the brands exhibiting at the expo and the volunteer staff supporting the athletes.

Mt. FUJI100: A trail running race held at the foot of Mt. FUJI100mi (distance of approximately 165.3 km), KAI70k (distance of approximately 68.6 km), ASUMI40k (distance of approximately 38.5 km), and starting this year, "SAKUYA 9k (approx. 9 km) and SAKUYA U20 6k (approx. 6 km).

--How did you get involved in the Mt. Fuji 100 this time?

I'm participating in both the Keen booth at the Expo and the ASUMI 40k as an athlete."

--What are your impressions of the venue from an exhibitor's point of view?

I have the impression that the level of seriousness is higher than in other tournaments. There are many enthusiastic competitors and not a few overseas participants. There are also people who come with their families to cheer them on, which gives me a sense of the scale of the event."

--How is the reaction at the booth?

We are often surprised to hear that Keen also makes trail shoes. We are still in the process of gaining recognition, but we have a good feeling that people will be interested in our shoes when they actually try them on.

-What is your enthusiasm as a player?

I am not that worried about the distance, so I want to finish the race first. I want to enjoy the race and the atmosphere of the event.

*Result: Finished the race in 6 hours, 19 minutes and 42 seconds (ASUMI 40k)
