A crash course in the fashionable people found at the Mount Fuji 100!

We often hear that "there are many fashionable people in the trail running community," but is that true? We visited the Mt. Fuji 100, one of the largest trail running races in Japan, and took snapshots of the fashionable people who are interested in the race, not only the competitors but also the people involved with the brands exhibiting at the expo and the volunteer staff supporting the athletes.

--What are the events that you will be competing in this time?

100 miles. This is my first attempt."

--What is your enthusiasm for your first 100 miles?

My goal is to finish the race. I don't care about the time, my priority is to go to the end."

--Do you think you will be able to use your experience?

I experienced a very tough race at Shinetsu Gogaku in heavy rain, so compared to that, I am a little more relaxed. That experience may be significant."

--What do you pay attention to?

The night is cold. I intend to deal with the cold at night by using the right equipment. I want to make adjustments according to the conditions. In any case, I want to finish the race while enjoying it as much as I can."

Result: Finished the race in 42 hours, 26 minutes and 23 seconds (FUJI100mi)
