What would the three of you choose?
Kondo: Mr. Endo, my house is mostly wood, what is the standard for matching the wood color of the floors and furniture?
Endo: Unifying all wood colors is naturally a good way to achieve a clean look. However, if you want to add a bit of "stylishness," it is a good idea to mix different colors of wood. If you use the same color for all the pieces, you will look too set in stone, and it will be hard to match other colors, making it difficult to buy.
Asano: I see! I guess mixing three, four, or more than one will give us even more range.

Endo: Yes, thank you (laughs). By the way, this planter looks good as a partition because it can be used as a divider. I think it would be perfect for placing taller plants and blocking the line of sight. You can also put things on the iron underneath.
Asano: I see, so you use the space without completely separating it.
Endo: Yes, it is. It is like a partition that gently divides the seats in an old coffee shop.
The solidly sized "Octo Mirror 800" is made of old pine wood. The uneven coloring is left on purpose, giving each piece a unique atmosphere.
Asano: I am also interested in the full-length mirror in the back. In Ehime, we grow mandarin oranges and wear only farm work clothes, but I was looking for a mirror that would show my whole body. Kondo-san, you are interested in sofas, aren't you?
Kondo: This 3-seater sofa is also nice. Without the footrest, it would cost less than 150,000 yen. When I think about sofas, I like designer sofas and masterpieces, but the prices are a little too high. The higher the price, the less likely you are to be excited if it gets dirty. We have kids, so I'm prepared to get it dirty, but is there any fabric for a sofa that can get dirty?
Endo: I would prefer materials that can be wiped, for example, PVC, or conversely, leather, which can be used with a sense of seasoning.
Kondo: I see. Anyway, I like old clothes, so I like the way this fabric feels around. I hope to be able to capture the feeling of the fabric as if it were leather changing over time. When it eventually gets dirty, I can replace the fabric with a new one. I also really like the coloring, which gives it a bit of a mid-century look.
How is the seating comfort? I heard that it has feathers on top of urethane.
Kondo: It is very nice. I heard that the corduroy sofa I mentioned earlier was only urethane, but this one feels better with a moderate sinking feeling.
Do you prefer sofas that are soft or hard?
Kondo: I'm new to sofas, so anything is great (laughs). but this one feels a bit soft.
Asano: I think I'm soft.
Endo: I would go for hardness. I also check if it is deep enough to sit comfortably, and if the arms are low enough to put my head down when I sleep. This sofa has good depth. The cushions are soft, but not too soft.
The "Cole Chair" is on the left and the "Kiki Chair" is sitting on it. They look similar, but upon closer inspection, they are slightly different.
Asano: I'm looking for black chairs for my house in Tokyo, and I like these two chairs.
How do you feel about the slightly different design when you compare them?
Asano: There are two types: a straight, small one and a larger one with more curves, but I found the former to be more modern and sleeker.
Endo: Is it possible to have a small seat?
Asano: The seat is small, but it is comfortable. At our house in Tokyo, we don't want to put too much furniture, so we eat at the kitchen counter as a dining table. This size seems to fit there.
Endo: Is there a reason you were looking for a black chair?
Asano: The white tiles in the kitchen have red joints and the faucet is black, but I felt they stood out. I thought black would go well with the faucet, and since the wallpaper is orange and pink, I thought black would help to tighten up the space.
Kondo: It's a fashionable way to match.
Asano: Also, Tokyo houses like to undulate, so many arches and light stands are curved. Even the houseplants on the floor are curved (laughs). I thought it would be nice to have this black chair with lots of straight lines there.
You can have as many "Metal Stacker M( Body )" that were stacked several layers in front of the cash register.
Kondo: And lastly, can I have this one too? I have something similar at home, but I also like these stacking shelves.
Asano: What kind of things do you put in it?
Kondo: You can put anything in it, but in our house we put a gazillion outdoor things in it and stack a number of them next to each other on the steel shelves. I like strong, tough materials, and I like the rugged look of this one.

Kondo: It's so convenient! It's so easy to just put this shelf on and move it around with ease. It's also very picturesque to fill it with "Vans" and other low-tech sneakers.
