Dries Van Noten's sneakers have been popular since they were introduced in the 24SS lineup.
The main attraction is the design work inspired by the running shoes of the 1970s, symbolized by the rounded square shape. The dynamic and unique stripes and the extremely thin rubber sole add to the retro mood.
The new creative director, Julian Krosner, has taken a bold scalpel to this flagship model.
One even has shoe laces (!). One is an all-suede and one-tone pair tailored in suede. This is minimalism at its finest, but that's not the only arrangement. The iconic stripes and lace stay pinking have been eliminated. This subtractive sense is refreshing.
