The "Michael" is the Latin reading of Michel.
The self-acclaimed masterpiece of Paraboot was created in 1945 to celebrate the birth of the brand's third generation, Michel Richard.
Paraboot is located in Izeau, France, a town deep in snow with Mont Blanc to the east. The "MICHAEL" is a solidly finished model equipped with specifications derived from Tyrolean shoes rooted in the region: thick, oily waxy leather, the Norwegian manufacturing method, and a latex sole. The degree of control is nothing short of superb, and as if to back this up, the pattern work has never been modified over the past 70 years.
If we had to choose a classic, the noir (black) pair is the embodiment of French chic, but the two new pairs in the lineup are also hard to pass up.
One is the "BBR" series, introduced in 2017. The highlights of this series are the tricolor tag featuring the French flag, the Bordeaux lining, and the calf leather upper. As you can see, it is very elegant.
The other is the fur series. The fur series, which is famous for seals and ponies, has now been joined by mouton. Each has its own taste, but the mouton is the more elegant of the two. The feel of the fur is so soft that it makes you want to touch it forever.
MICHAEL.
The "MICHAEL," an eternal staple of the Paraboot line, is made of thick, oily waxy leather. The welt leather is folded in an L-shape to create a durable pair. ¥71,500
MICHAEL BBR
The "BBR" series "Michael" is made of glossy calf leather instead of the waxy leather used for the regular model. Another key point is the change of the tag on the cuff to tricolor. ¥71,500
MICHAEL MOUTON
Mouton is the newest addition to Michael's classic fur series. The mouton is so soft that you want to touch it all the time and has a different texture from the seal, rabbit, pony, and mink fur that have been available until now. ¥73,700 (scheduled for release in September)
