The "Moonswatch" watch was introduced in March 2022 and attracted a lot of attention. To reiterate. This is the first time that OMEGA and Swatch have come together to create a series of 11 watches. So, even though it was not a limited edition, there were long lines at stores around the world every day.
Last year, the "Mission to Moonshine Gold" version was unveiled. The second hand coated with "18K Moonshine™️ Gold," a proprietary material developed with a focus on beauty and durability, is very unique in its appearance when you look closely at it.
For the first time, eleven bottles of "Mission to Moonshine Gold" will be set to be auctioned at "Sotheby's" from Monday, February 12 to Saturday, February 24.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to OMEGA's partner, the non-profit organization Orbis International. Nicknamed the "Flying Eye Hospital," the organization flies to remote areas where medical care is hard to come by to treat people's eyes.
Prior to this auction, eleven "Mission to Moonshine Gold" pieces are currently on display in a special suitcase at OMEGA Boutiques in eleven cities: Zurich, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, New York, London, Milan, Paris, and Sydney. The 11 "Mission to Moonshine Gold" watches are now on display in a special suitcase at OMEGA Boutiques in 11 cities.
The suitcases will be engraved with the three-letter airport code for each city (HND for Tokyo) and will also include loupes with the OMEGA and Swatch brand names.
The OMEGA Boutique Ginza is the only place in Tokyo where you can see this work, which will be open to the public until Sunday, February 11, 2012.
By the way, the auction is open to everyone online. The fact that the last day for bidding is a full moon also tickles the fancy of watch lovers.
