Ideas generated by moving the body.
-What impact do you think physical activity has on creativity?
Shallow leaves: I think the sense of balance in movement, such as leaning to the right or left of one's center of gravity, is common to the creation of artwork. Running creates a rhythm in my life and work, and it is a good cycle.
Ii High: There is such a thing as muscle memory, where muscles memorize movement, isn't there? This is a slightly different interpretation, but when I was doing sketching when I wanted to become an artist, I was able to make pencil movements that I could not do at first, but as I continued, I became able to do so. I think it is because my muscles are memorizing the movement. I don't play sports now, but I think it is important to keep moving. I seriously run in order to maintain my physical fitness that will not compromise my performance!
Ishii: If we're going for a walk, we often do it together, the three of us.
-Are you working on it?
Ii High: Refresh yourself between tasks. You will get more ideas than at your desk.
Shallow leaves: I'm sure we can come to an agreement when we walk and talk.
-If you want to try it out, it might be a good idea to discuss it while running a little faster than walking.
Shallow leaves: Yes, that's right. Let's start there.
Ii High: Indeed. My goals are getting lower, though (laughs).
Ishii: Let's run almost as fast as we can walk (laughs).
