Morocco is expected to make a strong showing in this tournament, having become the first African team to reach the semifinals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and having won the Africa Cup of Nations last year (following Senegal’s title revocation) for the first time in 49 years; the team currently holds its highest-ever FIFA ranking of 8th. The home kit features a deep red—symbolizing passion, courage, and dedication, just like the colors of the national flag—as the main color, accented with green, which signifies life and hope. The henley-style collar and cuffs feature a pattern reminiscent of “Zellij,” the traditional geometric mosaic tile decoration, while the back of the neck bears the Arabic name of the country, “Al Maghreb,” meaning “the land of the setting sun,” in gold lettering. The result is a design that is simple yet exudes refinement and elegance.
